Christy has has opened up for KANSAS, Jeffrey Gaines, the Kennedys, John Eddie, Trent Tomlison, etc. and has shared the stage with Steve Kimock. She enjoyed a high profile performance at Musikfest ‘06 (Bethlehem, PA) for which Christy and her backing band were listed among the top 10 performers (beside Alice in Chains and LL Cool J) out of the hundreds of acts who performed – including additional nationals: Heart, KC and the Sunshine Band, Melissa Etheridge, the Blues Brothers, Michelle Branch, etc. – in a preview of the week long festival.
2007 was a very exciting year for Jefferson. She signed with college booking agent, Neon Entertainment. In September, Christy released her 4th album entitled Living Curiously, which she worked on with several famous producers including Richard Blakin (Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon...), and Harrisburg’s own award winning producer, Jason Rubal (Dresden Dolls, Showin’ Tell, etc.).
Christy is currently recording her 5th album (projected release late 2008 / early 2009) with superstar producer Shelly Yakus (U2, John Lennon, Stevie Nix, Tom Petty...) and her band, the Core 4. When not in the studio, Christy is touring / performing 4-5 times pr week on average, performing her music in solo, duo, and full band (Christy Jefferson & the Core 4) format at clubs, restaurants, cafes, colleges / universities, house concerts, wineries, festivals, on radio, and on TV -- often in intimate settings and sometimes for audiences of thousands.
