Marios Anastasiou - Composer
He was born in Limassol. He attended piano and theory lessons from a very young age, and soon began composing music, participating in various music-writing competitions. He later continued his studies in Cyprus and abroad, acquiring diplomas in Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Orchestration and Arrangement for Concert Band and Piano. He also attended vocal and church music lessons. Marios currently resides in Cyprus and is working as a freelance pianist and teacher of piano and theory. Marios composed the tango “Just a Dance” in 2004. His introduction to Christina (lyricist) in the summer of 2005 lead to their collaboration for the production of this and other songs.
Christina Georgiou - Lyricist
Christina was born in Nicosia in 1980. She attended piano lessons at the age of five, and at the same time experimented in writing. In 1998, Christina won the First Prize in the Pancyprian Poetry Contest, and her first poetry collection was published, followed by four contributions to world-wide anthologies. Christina studied music at King’s College London (BMus) and City University London (MA), where she is continuing her doctoral studies. She was recently distinguished in three worldwide songwriting competitions. Christina has performed in Cyprus, Greece, England, Belgium and Hungary, while at the moment she resides and works as a freelance musician in Cyprus. www.geocities.com/poetresstini
