My name is Dan Monarch. I am a songwriter/singer residing in the beautifully underrated city of Louisville, Kentucky. I recently released my debut album(I will always love that word) Shooting Stars Only in early 08'. All of the music was written, played, and recorded in a secret underground lair located somewhere in the heart of the Bluegrass state. My goal is to provide the soundtrack for the infinite thoughts, emotions, and visions we all encounter in our day to day lives. Music is our hope. It builds bridges between strangers. It gives us fleeting looks at what may or may not be on the other side of the curtain. It has always been there for us even when all other lights have gone out or simply disappeared. In other words, I take it seriously. So, if you wish, feel free to take to my sonic road and see where it may lead. Some places you come to may seem unpleasant or even painful, but don't despair, you can always turn back and try a different path, perhaps from a new perspective and point of view.
