Patricia, an Arizona based folk/rock singer/songwriter, has an energetic and diverse style: one minute she may be finger picking a heartfelt love song and the next fiercely strumming a song about societal trends. Her debut CD, As Simple as it Seems , has been described as "raw and intelligent." MS. Silverberg has frequent repeat performances, has opened for Top 40 artists, and has received radio play across the country. Patricia is highly influenced by the artists of Lilith Fair, especially Natalie Merchant who has personally authorized Patricia to record her songs.
Patricia originally hails from NYC. She began playing the guitar at the age of seven and studied voice with several Broadway veterans. Patricia has frequent repeat appearances and has been personally invited to many events including performing on the main stage at Pride in the Pines where she opened for Sophie B. Hawkins who described her voice as amazing and appeared on the same stage as such legends as Chaka Khan, Martha Wash, and Tiffany. Patricia has performed across the state of Arizona including such venues Pride in the Pines, Flagstaff's premiere artist showcase Heritage Square, Border's, Phoenix Pride, WestGate City Center, Desert Ridge Marketplace, special events for the City of Phoenix and Glendale, the Museum of Northern Arizona, and tons of folk festivals, coffee houses, cafes, and bars.
Outside of Arizona, Patricia performed at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and her song Give Me Light was placed in a time capsule embedded in the walls of their student union. The same song received Honorable Mention for the 2006 PeaceDriven Songwriting award and was featured on NYC's Radio Crystal Blue where the song was described as "simply gorgeous." Her music can also be heard on Celebrate Music Radio.
