Once a classical singer, Neal Letteney received his training at Butler University and sang professionally with the Indianapolis Opera Company and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Appreciating many genres of music, Neal has sung or played with a great variety of bands, from blues, jazz and rock to big band swing orchestras. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of New Day Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (www.NewDayChurch.info).
Growing up in the 60s and 70s, Neal's musical influences included James Taylor, Jim Croce, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Wilson Pickett, Lou Rawls and the great crooners, such as Bing Crosby, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. One of the great musical experiences of his life was playing jazz guitar with the late, great Herb Ellis.
Neal spent seven years as the lead singer of BlueGrace, a critically-acclaimed band presenting a unique fusion of progressive bluegrass, gospel, blues and jazz. While with BlueGrace, Neal appeared on stage with Randy Travis, Josh Turner and other well-known artists.

The lyrics say it all for days like these but they're not just for today -- they're eternal truths. The feeling and conviction Neal has in his awesome voice is a clear enunciation of that same truth. And finally. The guitar work is excellent. I'm assuming it's Neal playing, but whoever it is, it's great.

There are songs that are good, songs that have a catchy beat, and then there are the songs that make your heart thump and fall in to a state of worship. "In the Hollow of Your Hand" is one of those songs. This song encouraged me to go prostate to worship. It soothed my soul in its beautiful composition.

"Beaten down, losin' battle
Wasn't man enough today..." Soulful arrangement and the lyrics are so close to the heart of anyone who has felt the weight of failure. Yet the writer brings such intense hope and paints the picture of Comfort(er). Excellent work. Gimme more...
