Steve started a family song creation team including his brother, wife, son and daughter called BeeBrothers Music. The songs are written about actual people based on their real life stories with the concept that the songs would be listenable for everyone.
Steve still has a distinctive voice and lyrics that say something. Been over 30 years since I last heard a song by him - he's still got it! Smooth, easy-to-be-with voice, great music!

I have entered several contests and often listen to the pop songs on the contest charts.
If the music, lyrics, and singers were as good as,
"Open Heart Song," it would be a better musical world.

I think that you have an amazing voice! I am sure that you could probably sing any song and make it sound good!

This is a great song. It has potential to be sung in different genres. As a producer/music direrctor/overseer, I would have done it a little different, but it is still great content (lyrics & notes).

I love the back up vocals-subtle,smoky ...but absolutely essential!

This is a genre that is rare and wonderful. The lyrics are uncomplicated, honest and true- an open heart (love) song.It reminds me of Graham Nash at his best- and it's the kind of music that resonates in all of us.

Anyone who thinks only songs with guts make for pop "hits" has clearly not heard much pop. Sorry, but pop can be, and has been, many things, not always in the Terry Britten league.

Great song, love the melody and the lyrics......I know it's a McNally/McNally composition but this song is right up there with any Lennon/McCartney love song composition.......the world needs more material like this...this is a great pop song and worthy of radio play....it is what it is....honest, lyrical, melodic...a beautiful song

Great tune! Good work Indie International - You picked a winner.

This song, I think, is the winner in the pop category. It served the contest and the judges well, but as far as a hit on the radio, it's miles away. Judging song contests is another example of individual taste but not necessarily popular appeal. It stands to reason that hits on the radio are not the results of judges (among other things). On a whim, I entered this contest but should have known better based on what I just have written. To the winner...keep on writing cute songs because they're cute. Only songs with guts give producers, with an ear, something to turn into a hit. "What's Love Have To Do With It" (Tina Turner)

Intimate, cozy, and warm. This song is showing a sincere smile and a wink to homey musical athmosphere.
