Pete Arnett is a singer-songwriter in the vein of James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Dan Fogelberg, and Colbie Caillat. Most of his songs are in a pared down acoustic style that focuses on universal themes involving love, friendship, and one's place in life. He hails from the Detroit area where he grew up and initially performed in local coffeehouses and bars. He has performed in East Lansing Michigan, Madison Wisconsin, Milwaukee Wisconsin, Pullman Washington, and State College Pennsylvania, among other towns. He is the past winner of the State College Pennsylvania's Acoustic Brew Coffeehouse Local Songwriter's Showcase. He also recently won "Honorable Mention" in the SongDoor 2008 International Songwriting Competition. Pete Arnett now lives in State College, Pennsylvania where he continues to perform and write songs.
