Lyn's music delivers hard-earned wisdom with earthy emotion. She spins songs like she turns pottery, into practical vessels artfully crafted to carry nourishment for the soul.
Her melodic and versatile convergence of folk, acoustic and indie originality provide the texture for a collection of lyrical stories about the unfolding of the human heart, and the courage it takes to reclaim lost, neglected or dormant parts of ourselves in pursuit of completion.
Her first CD "Energy Dance" was released in December, 2007. Its 15 original songs are at once vulnerable and valiant, personal and universally accessible. Lyn is an accomplished songsmith with astoundingly honest perceptions revealed with uncluttered clarity drawn from her deep Buddhist roots.
JoAnna Kondrat, owner of The Sweet Grass Café in Oscoda, Michigan, calls Lyn "an exciting new troubadour whose original lyrics reflect her heartfelt emotions toward spirit and change."
Tom Saunders, host of Folk-it, A3radio.com, says Lyn "is, by turns, sensitive, knowing and compelling, and that Energy Dance is delivered with a forceful delicacy--just like Lyn herself."
One of my favorite on the CD. Universal and personal. Whoever hasn't experienced a deep struggle like this has led a charmed life and, maybe, only skimmed the surface of life. Lyn has captured the depth of our unfortunate American plight of trying to be who we really are in a monoculture that manufactures the roles we're supposed to play. And when we don't we have to wage a battle to break through the barriers.
