Andy Jaske has been playing guitar and writing music since an early age. He played in several local bands throughout Illinois and Missouri during and after college, but recently re-focused on his music after many years away. He has been playing recently in Seattle, WA, Des Moines, IA, and Dallas, TX. In 2011, you are likely to find him every other Tuesday at the Opening Bell Coffeehouse in Dallas.
His music crosses genre, but has been described by some as 'intellectual folk-pop'. The most common well known artists for comparison are Van Morrison, Dave Matthews, and Bob Dylan.
During 2011, Andy will continue to update his online recordings, which are currently available for free. FREE! You can visit his music website at andyjaskemusic.com or become a fan at Jango.com, where he has a substantial worldwide fan base.
Andy has a grown daughter who works for the NIH and resides with his wife and son in suburban Seattle. He holds a day job where he, unfortunately, applies things he learned while earning a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
