Cheryl Metrick bio:
I have headlined as a solo singer at New York Catskill Hotels such as the CONCORD, RALEIGH, NEVELE, KUTCHERS, FALLSVIEW, and GRANIT. I've performed in many clubs, charitable events, and industrials in New York City and the tri-state area. I sing various styles of music from jazz, torch, country, folk, pop, classic rock and musical theatre. I started acting and singing at 16 years old, I studied with several singing and performance teachers, and participated in many classes and seminars. My accompanist, arranger and musical director is the legendary FRANK OWENS who is well respected in the music industry for his exceptional playing and his musical genius.

I am a SAG/AFTRA actress from Long Island, New York who has worked professionally for the past 25 years in theatre, television, and film. I've had principal roles in several independent films, such as: HIGH HOPES; THE SIGNS OF THE CROSS; MATTIE FRESNO AND THE HOLOFLUX UNIVERSE; AUSTIN’S ANGELS; THE DRUM BEATS TWICE; and LIZ..among others. I studied at many acting schools, including: HERBERT BERGHOFF STUDIO, WEIST-BARRON STUDIO, VIDEO ASSOCIATES, TVI, and WAY OFF BDWY. I've done theater, commercials, infomercials, independent film, television and voice-overs. I am currently on a Long Island Cablevision public access TV program called HIT OR MISS VARIETY SHOW airing weekly on Long Island Cablevision.

I write music and poetry, draws pictures and am currently writing a book titled "On the Wings of Inspiration" with Jeree Wade, a wonderful singer and life coach. The book is about a series of drawings that I was inspired to create several years ago which have a spiritual/metaphysical theme. Each drawing is accompanied by a poem that I wrote which explains the meaning of each drawing. Many people that view the drawings are moved by them.
