ANGELA SIRACUSA also known affectionately as performing artist, SWEET DIEZEL is a singer songwriter, entertainment correspondent and host of her upcoming t.v. show, Angela Feeds the Band. She is as expressive, creative and adventurous with her culinary show as she is with her music. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Angela is the youngest sibling of a musical family. Several months of the year, she performs and records in Nashville, TN; a place she also calls home and the inspiration for many of her songs.
Angela’s newly released album, Sweet Diezel, recorded in Nashville, TN and Ontario pulls together all her talents resulting in music for all ages. Her collaborative album of original songs is delivered with a traditional and modern country flair. Sultry and haunting powerful vocals evoke thoughts of love lost, love found; with upbeat melodies that celebrate family love and good times with friends.
Sweet Diezel crosses the bridge from traditional country to modern country. Angela’s recent performance’s with country star David Church from RFDTV toured her across the Midwest to Franklin, PA, Zanesville, OH, Shenandoah Valley, VA, Effingham, IL and Green Island, IA; is testament of her ability to reach a wide demographic audience.
Sweet Diezel blends many of the same elements that made her album Drawn to the Flame so successful.
Angela was recently nominated for The Ontario Independent Music Award and has won The Niagara Music Award for best country band. Also recognized by Billboard’s songwriting contest for her original song, “They Crumble”. Angela was chosen as the feature community artist on CMT.com and has performed to many audiences across the nation. She is often seen performing in Nashville on the famed Billy Block Show and has appeared on shows with Sammy Kershaw, Raul Malo, Hal Ketchum, Marty Raybon, David Church, Walter Egon, Walter Ostanek, and The Roadhammers.
Angela is also a featured music columnist for the well respected French magazine Dreamwest. At a pre-Grammy party in Nashville, Angela spent time with the country music’s elite from Brenda Lee, Little Big Town, and Trace Atkins to five-time Grammy Award winner (including 2009) and one of Angela’s idols, Robert Plant.
