Raised in a small seaside town in Connecticut, Katrina moved to Texas at the age of 19 to pursue music with the renowned University of North Texas jazz program. Her influences include include a wide range, from Joni Mitchell to Tori Amos and Fiona Apple to Bon Iver. She was once described as "the female version of Damien Rice." She writes on guitar and piano. She frequently plays in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and has also played at the Saxon Pub in Austin, and at the famous Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville, TX. Most recently, she received a semi-finalist position in the 2013 UK Songwriting Competition, and a Finalist position in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for her song, "The Dream". She is currently recording and working towards the release of her EP.
