I grew up just outside the Beautiful city of Vancouver BC, Canada. I left in my early 20's to be a Working Cowboy. I spent many years riding through cattle on horseback, and chasing Rodeo.
It wasn't until I spent several years on the night shift, waiting to check for newborn calves in the winter months, that I learned to play guitar. I found a new Love for Music.
Life ain't been easy for me, but who's life hasn't. Music is a huge release for everyone, whether it be a break up or just plain life. I try to include all of those things in my music. Trying to keep things as real as possible is my biggest goal through Music.
In 2003 I rode and packed a horse 800 miles across 2 provinces, took 4 months, and I worked along the way. I meant so many great people with many stories to tell about life! It was an Amazing experience, and I learned the biggest thing I could from so many people, Music has always there for everyone, and life is what you make it! I really try to include that experience in my songs.
In 2007, after the oil and gas activity killed over 18,000 head of caribou in the north, I rode my horse 550 mile to the parliament buildings in BC to raise awareness of the disaster as well as the fact that deadly gas wells were being put beside Elementary schools.
In short, I am no stranger to fighting for the little guy! I feel I reflect this in my Music, and want it to represent that. I try to write my songs for the hard worker, the person or family who struggles everyday, the poor, the single mom or dad, and all those who have lost the zest for life. I try to write feel good songs, and songs that understands the inner being. Songs that leave you feeling good in the end. I also love to add humor to my songs as well, a good laugh is always mandatory.
