Crane was founded in 2002 by singer Sascha Mathys and by guitarplayer Phil Antognini.
The idea of Crane was to create a certain atmosphere around a Pop-Song.
The style of Crane’s music is a mix between Rock, Retro-pop and Blues with a psychadellic touch.
The first EP «The legendary style EP» was recorded in 2003 and acclaimed by critcs as
«sophisticated Pop-Music». It was recorded with Philip Henzi on keyboards, Chris Moore on bass
and Simon B on drums, who now plays with Stephan Eicher.
In 2013 Crane formed a new line-up with californian bass player Donn Torres and a young,
talented drummer called Vivien Hochstatter.
The band went into the studio and recorded 10 new songs, put together on a concept-album
called «Random Precision»
After the release of a limited edition of Promo-CD’s, Crane is now searching for a professional
record label to bring out their album.
Amongst the guests featuring on the CD are the british singer John Barry and the talented
Krizia Bass, keyboard player Julie Boss, Ganesh Geymeier on Saxophone and many others...
