Kyle Novy is the owner and founder of My Song Alive, an internet production company working with aspiring songwriters all over the country. As a music producer and audio engineer, Kyle has guided many artists through the creative process, from crafting a song to recording and performing the final work. A songwriter of over fifteen years, Kyle is skilled at writing in numerous genres and has won two national awards for his songs. His most recent project, Mount Valor, released a song per week for the entire year - 52 songs in all - available on iTunes, Spotify, and more.
In addition to his production experience, Kyle is helping pioneer the Singer-Songwriter program at Interlochen Arts Academy, the nation's premier arts school. A passionate mentor, Kyle teaches in the areas of music critique, theory, songwriting, production, lyrical technique, and recording. He has prepared students for college programs in Songwriting, Performance, Music Technology, Music Production, Cinema Media Arts and more.
Kyle studied music in Los Angeles, where he earned a B.M. in Commercial Music (Guitar Performance) and an M.A. in Cross-Cultural Studies (Music & Postmodern Culture). His performance experience in the Los Angeles area includes playing guitar in theatrical, studio, and live performance settings, as well as composing music for web videos, national radio commercials, and art events.
