What I lack is experience in the “biz”. What I do have under my belt is alot of love and optimism, as well as a university education. Having firmly decided that my career must be built on a musical foundation, I am ready to begin exploring the many opportunities that the culture industry has to offer. Since I am so fresh to the game, my professional image is laughable as it is still very uncultivated. However, I believe that the Indie International competition and other similar contests will be a great way for me to get my feet wet. The criticism I receive on my song entries will be invaluable, and I will be able to carry them with me into the songwriting branch of my career in music. Though I don’t expect to make any huge splashes right away, I am confident that you will be hearing my name again in the near future. The challenge I fear the most is placing my music under the heading of a specific ‘genre’.
