Anthony Espina, a 23 year-old composer from West Palm Beach, Florida, is a self-taught pianist who has composed music since the age of twelve. Writing music that mainly incorporates classical and new age genres, you will find that though this talent is young, the spin he puts on composition is new and refreshing. Anthony began pursuing a career in film music when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer at the age of 16. He has now been cancer free for 6 years and is currently pursuing his goal of composing for motion pictures. Anthony studies under the tutelage of acclaimed composer, Donald Waxman, and has studied film composition under film composer Hummie Mann at Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program. Anthony has won numerous awards including the prestigious 1st prize of the Palm Beach Idol with his original composition, “Our Fallen Radiance” written for piano and cello, and 1st prize of Full Sail Universities Composer’s Competition. He is also a credited Film Composer under titles like: Lucky Streak and the Crime Fighters, The Incubus, Gina and the G.I.T, Lines, Documentary – The Van Bramer Case, and short film Dollhouse. Besides his music, Anthony host his own internet Radio show called “The Scoring Stage” on the WEI Network, a show about Film Music and the composers who brought those films to life with the magic of music.
