Cinder Jean: Singer/Songwriter
Born and raised in Southern California, Cinder Jean’s family moved to Santa Barbara from Manhattan Beach California. Cinder Jean started playing the guitar at age ten and thus her passion for song writing emerged. She began her musical career in Santa Barbara playing her guitar and singing in local venues and coffee houses. Cinder plays a variety of musical instruments. Guitar, ukulele, harmonica, piano, percussion and american indian flute.
Cinder Jean had the opportunity to become part of a classic concert series where she opened for many artists such as: Dave Mason, Al Stewart, Donavon, Arlo Guthrie, Don McLean, Ronnie Milsap, Kris Kristofferson and more. From that point Cinder became a successful touring musician playing festivals, concerts, resort hotels, night clubs, and private parties. Cinder toured many places with her band including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska and Japan.
Cinder Jean released her CD “Strands Of TIme” in (2005) “Sprit Of The East Wind” in (2010) featuring all native american flute compositions and “My Hawaiian Hut” with her partner Robert Thomas in (2010″ All three Cd s can be found on ITunes and Cd Baby. Cinder Jean has just released a brand new CD called Ethereal Echoes and will be available on iTunes and CD Baby starting January 12, 2012, The Cd is all instrumental native flute compositions.
Cinder Jean also teaches private music lessons. She has worked as a guitarist, vocalist, composer, arranger, and educator for the past ten years in Santa Barbara. Cinder started her own business called Guitar On Wheels and specializes in working with children and adults of all ages. Cinder teaches a variety of musical styles including originals, rock, blues, country, folk and Jazz.
