I’m a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, engineer, and producer originally from the Bay Area and currently residing in Los Angeles. Classically trained from a young age in violin and piano, I started to write my own songs when I was 13. In order to better my songwriting, I learned bass and guitar, and eventually formed a band called “Cypher Syndicate”, for which I was the songwriter, singer, keyboardist, and (at times) guitarist. I released my first album, 0 (Zero) under this moniker in 2009. For my next album, I wanted to take the DIY challenge and learn to do everything myself at a professional standard. So for the next 3 years I delved into learning drums, sound synthesis and engineering and production techniques, working as a live sound/recording engineer at CalArts and interning at Kingsize Sound Labs. The result is my new album, The Dream, a multi-genre record that jumps between pop, rock, classical, and electronic styles, and tells an autobiographical story of my growth from childhood into maturity.
