Hanorah began creating music after watching the viral Shia Labeouf Just Do It video, which triggered her to turn a daily habit into an international musical journey in the span of 3 months. Beginning to develop her sound with Montreal-based producer Sookz, her compulsion to sing and write is now backed by dozens of artists, musicians, songwriters and producers, from LA to Germany. The singer pulls together sounds from jazz, blues, dreampop, electro, and classical, to deliver mysterious and unforgettable poetry.
Her live shows allow her to showcase her fine arts background; Hanorah incorporates equally experimental visual and performance art elements to create energetically captivating experiences. The crowd and venue inspire each spectacle, so naturally, no two performances are identical.
In the fall of 2015, Hanorah released her first album, Unstuck, alongside a fearless music video for her single In Order of Appearance. Pushing the boundaries of new R&B, she explores electronic sounds and delivers a good dose of soul. In Order of Appearance was described by Nadine Ishak of CTV as demonstrating the ease of a seasoned pro, but [you can] bet this is just the beginning.
Hanorah is now finishing up her second album, where she is coming into her sound. She describes this project as social and psychological issues, disguised as love songs.
