|In 2008 Gibson Guitars named him winner of Guitarfest, a guitar soloing competition that included six states worth of guitarists. In 2015 one of his original songs took 6th place in an international songwriting competition and then in 2017 he took 1st place in another international songwriting competition. He’s a late bloomer and in 2018 a Grammy award winning producer recruited him to help write a song, and be in a short film called, The Warrior.

He has also appeared on the television shows, Inside Music Today, and The Phil Stahl Show, which airs on RCN and Comcast. He recently was interviewed on the In Tune show on the RVN Network and even more recently featured on Channel 69 WFMZ’s, “Music Monday” segment with his new duo. He will be appearing on Blue Ridge Cable TV 13 on November 17th’s airing of The Top Ten finalists of The Pocono Great Talent Event which he and his duo partner Doug Yingling managed to make it in to. The duo is called Yingling Porter On Tap with a great slogan, Please Listen Responsibly. Frank’s music career is getting much busier these past couple years. He’s about to release a new studio album and is also working on an EP with the duo. He has released three album since 2013 with a new one coming out soon.

With all this said, Frank also plays at events like, private parties, bridal showers, Irish wakes (depends of what you’re looking for), farm markets, dinner parties and more? He has an alternate set of soft background music for events that want live instrumental background music and does a wonderful job. He dresses the part too. Suit coat, tie, and all that. Frank is a very gifted and very nice guy. He loves to share his gift. He also teaches guitar privately and does many charity events. Truly a class act. Always on time and always professional. You thought we were done didn’t you? Almost. He also can do one hour of Christmas music. He’s performed his Christmas music at places like hospitals and nursing homes and a center for vision loss and is doing that one again this year (2019).

You could say Frank’s a busy man. He likes it this way. One interesting note about his way of providing music is that he will play the entire time without stopping. His clients are always amazed at this. This is called passion for playing guitar and performing live. He figures the bigger bands do this and so he follows their footsteps.

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about Frank.
