Ive been playing guitar since 1967. I started out being driven by the Beatles. The first song I remember learning was Gloria by Them (Van Morrisons 1st group). Soon afterwards I bought a Ventura acoustic 12 string and began exploring ideas that I still include in my playing style. After that most playing was automatic and never seemed to be work. I began writing my own music in the early seventies with the inspiration of fellow musicians. My main professional inspirations were Neil Young, C,S,N & Y, The Eagles, The Moody Blues and Jethro Tull. Theres also Dave Mason, Traffic, Stones, Elton John, Dan Fogelberg, Loggins & Messina, to name a few. I love great songwriting, like Paul Simon, Lennon-McCartney, and Bob Dylan. I could list many more. There was always something about acoustic music mixed with electric rock and great harmony and vocals that caught my attention. I was in a band in 1974-1975 that went through a series of personnel changes as we explored the acoustic-electric-folk-country-rock sound. We pretty much practiced a lot but gigged very little. There was much potential. I wrote most of the original music we played. I continue to write new material, and usually have a few ideas in the kettle. Thanks.
