Run Over Twice is a unique sound for Texas music lovers. The band blends their own style of Americana music with rock, classic country, blues and folk. The original works of the band include popular songs like “Motorcycle Man” and “Michaela” which have a rockin’ edge to them. Other songs like “John and Marianne” and “Peace of Mind” have a more country feel, but they still obtain the rock qualities that set them apart from mainstream country music. This original style of music is accompanied by poetic lyrics. Along with original music, Run Over Twice plays a wide variety of cover music. This truly eclectic mix ranges from Gun N Roses to Willie Nelson, Stone Temple Pilots and The Commodores. This ability to be diverse is what sets Run Over Twice apart from other bands in the Texas circuit. The fact that they can play country, blues, rock and anything in between allows them to perform at a large variety of venues.
The band completed their first recording in 2003 and went on the road to play Texas venues such as The Sam Houston Race Park, River Road Icehouse, The Nutty Brown Cafe, The Exxon Mobil Petroleum Club, Hooters, Big Texas Dancehall and Saloon, Sherlock’s & Baker St. Pub, Blanco’s and many other venues in Texas. Members of Run Over Twice have played all across the country as well as Canada and Mexico.
