Hey,I have always been a singer.
I used to stand on my grandmother’s couch and make her listen to me sing even when I was as young as 2 and 1/2 years old. And my German grandmother, my Oma, would always clap and tell me that someday I would be on a real stage singing. As I grew up, so did my love for music. I attended church and Sunday school regularly and loved the Christian music that surrounded me. Although I love all types of music and Christian music, southern gospel has always been my favorite. Yes, I am a born again believer in Christ Jesus and God inspires most all of my song writing.
I started writing in 1985 with the help and direction of my friend and mentor, Dennis Moore; I guess you could say he “taught me the ropes.” I won a few local song writing contests, and with Dennis’s encouragement I wrote more and more songs. I curently have two albums under my belt, “A Woman Who Fears the Lord” and “God is So Good” and I am releaseing two more in the near future. I recently placed in the top 7 in the International Southern Gospel Music Network song writing contest for 2008.
My goal is not fame or noteriety but to simply spread the Gospel of Christ through song and music in any way I can. I pray that you will be blessed, lifted up and encouraged by listening to my heart felt songs of real life experiences.
I Samuel 12:20 says, “Serve the Lord with all your heart,” and that, in a nut shell, is what I intend to do today.
