CAN’T HELP LOVING YOU

Can?t Help Loving You Copyright: December 2017. Peter Walker, 2 Bradley Road. Gillitts. KZN, RSA
Living without you, day dreaming about you
Wishing you?d let my love surround you.
Your leaving suddenly left a space I can?t fill,
Life?s been intolerable cause time?s been standing still.
Remember those nights we laughed and danced
While the crowd sang golden oldie love songs.
Never thought way back then things would go so badly wrong
But whatever, I CAN?T HELP LOVING YOU.
Fair giving, fair taking is a game lovers play
One-sided romances fade away.
Don?t exactly recall what made you stand tall
But now I?m another man, better all-in-all.
Wanna be around to keep you company,
Steal sweet kisses from your silk-soft lips
And reach out to caress you from toes to fingertips,
Maybe that?s why I CAN?T HELP LOVING YOU.
My hell raising days have ended
Spend less time with friends.
Been walking a wrong direction
Won’t be walking that way again.
The day we first met my head began spinning
A web of sensual imaginings.
Nothing can quench the desire inside me
Words can?t say how good I feel when you excite me.
Move closer darling it?s so many long months
Since I last felt the touch of your hands,
You?re a caring, alluring, wonderful woman
No wonder I CAN?T HELP LOVING YOU.
