I Think They’re Gone

Lyrics
Some say love is universal,
Some say that love is blind,
Some say love is circumstantial,
It only happens some of the time,
Well all I know is what I’ve seen,
I’ve lost some friends and my family,
Yeah they’re gone,
Was it me cause I gave everything away,
I can’t see why they couldn’t stay,
I gave them a twenty when they asked for ten,
I never said no when they asked again,
I never tried to do them any wrong but I ran out of money and it didn’t take long,
They disappeared, I think they’re gone,
Blood is thicker than water,
And love is more valuable then gold,
Friends will always last forever,
Things never work out like we were told,
I’ve had some friends that came my way,
But I don’t know where they are today,
I think they’re gone…
Was it me cause I gave everything away,
I can’t see why they couldn’t stay,
I gave them a twenty when they asked for ten, I never said no when they asked again,
I never tried to do them any wrong,
But I ran out of money and it didn’t take long,
They disappeared, I think they’re gone…
I know that there should be a lesson,
Every story has to have an end,
If you’ve got any money you should probably keep it from your friends,
Take my advise and you won’t be a fool,
You’ll have lots of friends and your family too, they won’t be gone.
Was it me cause I gave everything away,
I can’t see why they couldn’t stay,
I gave them a twenty when they asked for ten, I didn’t say no when they asked again,
I never tried to do them any wrong but I ran out of money and it didn’t take long,
They disappeared, I think they’re gone,
They disappeared, I think they’re gone.
