I Walk Alone
by Erik Borelius
Genre: Folk
Lyrics
Countless people with faces I can´t see
Speaking very seriously to me
But far and wide, in town and country, I´m forever on my own
As I´ve always been
Like a soul unseen
In an endless dream I walk alone
But I don´t mind my solitude, I let other people speak
I let them say their point of view, I guess they think that I seem weak
Overwhelmed by strong opinions, I lack a smart reply
surprised by peoples eagerness to know the when and why
On my own
All I´ve ever known
In an endless dream I walk alone
A sea of words, matters to resolve
I find it hard to feel involved
Quiet talk above my head, I´m forever on my own
As I´ve always been
Like a soul unseen
In an endless dream I walk alone
I guess I’m not the only one to feel distant from it all
Countless matters, supposedly important, seem meaningless and small
My indifference fills my mind with guilt, but it´s really not that bad
I’m pleased with the life I built, mostly I’m glad
