Not The Stayin’Kind

Hannah, don’t you stare so long out the window,
if you look to hard you might not like what you find.
I got me a ticket to go which way the wind blows,
and you knew in your heart all along I’m not the stayin’ kind.

It’s probably not hard to believe our time is closin’,
some things are best to let end before they really begin.
I can’t say for sure if my thoughts will ever be unfrozen,
and open up the gates long enough to let you slip in.

I can feel the air growin’cold as I climb out the front door,
on a sidewalk there’s no place to hide when the sun starts to rise.
In the distance a storm cloud breaks like a wave on a sea shore,
and the rain fallin’down hides the truth of my watery eyes.

Hannah, don’t you stare so long out the window,
if you look to hard you might not like what you find.
I got me a ticket to go which way the wind blows,
and you knew in your heart all along I’m not the stayin’ kind.
