You And Me
by Mike Robbins
I see that funny look in your eyes tonight
And I know just what that means.
The kids are asleep, the TV turned off
And now it’s just you and me.
You don’t want to wait until Saturday night
So you lean ‘cross my arm and you turn off the light.
I can’t think of anyplace else I’d rather be.
It’s just you and me.
I hear that sigh in your voice that makes me smile.
I take your hand in mine.
You move closer to me, I move closer to you.
We share our special time.
Nobody knows our love
Nobody knows our tears
Nobody knows our hopes and dreams,
Our secrets and our fears.
